Art lessons learned in a trial by fire, almost always produce the best results. While there are plenty of things I’m still learning, I feel like the most valuable lessons are learned when I’m trying to build up my skills to meet an idea. So here’s how to draw some raccoons!
While creating “Galaxy Treatos for the Rainbow Raccoon,” there were a couple of lessons learned. But, here’s my favorite!
Sometimes is okay to say f*** the rules. —
I really and truly went on a Pinterest deep dive, found an assorted amount of things that made me smile, and drew them all floating in the galaxy. Pssst…. Sometimes I use “galaxies” as a background just because it means I don’t have to explain myself. They also look really cool.
I’ve been told the randomness of everything being everywhere can be a little disorienting. What I was surprised to discover was, that a galaxy of randomness actually looks a lot better on products than a well-thought-out and grounded piece!
If you love this piece as much as I do and want to rock your raccoon spirit, check out this gear and see for yourself! Each and every piece was designed, with love, by me!
