I’m Kailey, the Creator, Illustrator, Rainbow Captain Extraordinaire of Kailey Lauren Kay. A blog dedicated to free spirited young women who are looking to flex their creative muscles.

Who am I? 

I’m a 27 year old Illustrator that lives happily with my menagerie of critters. Chico: my very own pup, Timmy the Turtle, Reaper the Rabbit, Artemis and Apollo: Crested Gecko Gods, and Katniss Everdeen the fish that won the Hunger Games.

Rainbows are in my DNA. I’ve been doodling religiously for as long as I can remember. After years of semi-unintentional practice, and a couple of extra credit points for glitter dragons on my homework, I decided to go after my love for creating magic rainbow creatures with gusto! I tried almost every media. I painted everything from spooky sets to my own face before I fell head over heels for Brush Markers. 

Now I’m a full time creator, pumping out as much rainbow magic as the world can handle. So, with some markers in one hand and a wand in the other, let’s make some magic!
